과연 저의 삶 가운데 이와 같이 경고음이 울리는 것이 무엇일까요? 무엇인가 일을 하려 하지만 자신이 주님 안에서 풍성한 삶을 누리지 못하고 살아가게 하는 것이 무엇일까요? 제 경우 육신의 정욕, 안목의 정욕, 이생의 자랑 모두가 해당되는 것입니다. 주여, 제가 주님을 온전히 신뢰하고 믿으며, 주님과 함께 생명과 풍성한 삶을 누리는 삶을 살지 못하도록 하는 바쁜 일상과 어려움이 무엇일까요? 무엇인가 옳은 일을 한다고 생각하지만 그런 일을 하지 못하도록 막는 것이 무엇일까요? 바로 육신적인 쾌락을 좇는 삶과 예뻐 보이는 것을 취하려는 마음, 그리고 이 생을 살아가면서 자랑으로 알고 살아가려는 의도나 생각이 있습니다. 이러한 생각과 관점과 선택들이 저를 멸망의 길로 인도하는 것인데, 그로부터 돌이키지 않는 삶을 지속해서 살아가는 자신을 보게 됩니다.
주여, 제가 주님께서 주시는 경고음을 무시하지 말고, 지속적으로 순종하지 못하는 육신의 정욕과 안목의 정욕과 이생의 자랑으로부터 자신을 지켜내지 못하는 삶에서 벗어나서 주님을 진실로 따르는 삶을 살아가게 되기를 간절히 기도드립니다. 주여, 제가 주님을 진실로 알고 신뢰하며 따르는 삶을 살아가게 되길 간절히 기도드립니다. 오늘 하루도 제 욕심과 자랑거리를 삶고자 하는 마음을 돌이키고, 오직 진리 되시는 주님을 바라보며 살아가는 삶을 살기를 간절히 기도합니다. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘!

The answer is simple: a life of fleshly pleasures, a desire to take what looks pretty, and an intention or idea to know and live this life as something to be proud of. These thoughts, perspectives, and choices are what lead me down the path of destruction, from which I see myself continuing to live a life of unrepentance.
Lord, it is my fervent prayer that I will not ignore the warning signs You are giving me, but that I will turn from a life of continual failure to obey You, to a life of failure to guard myself from the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes, and the pride of this life, and that I will live a life that is a true follower of You. Lord, I fervently pray that I will live a life of true knowing, trusting, and following you. I pray that I will turn away from my own desires and my own boastfulness, and that I will live my life today with my eyes fixed on You, the only true God. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen!
