간구 제목 - 내가 아닌 주님을 대적하는 자들에 대한 기도

 

 

 

시편 43:1 말씀을 읽고 도전이 된 내용과 묵상하고 적용할 사항을 정리해 보았습니다.

 

Psalm 43:1 God, defend me. Argue my case against those who don't follow you. Save me from liars and those who do evil.

 

 

간구기도 → 내가 아니라 주님께 대적하는 자들을 다루시기를

 

 

하나님께서 자신을 방어해 주시도록 시편기자는 주님께 간청했습니다. 그런데 무엇에 대한 방어였냐면 하나님을 따르지 않고 오히려 반대하는 무리들에 대해 시편기자에게 대항하는 자들과 거짓말하고 악을 행하는 자들로부터 자신을 보호해 주시고 방어해 주시기를 간구하였습니다.

 

 

저도 저 자신에 대해 반대의견을 주고 대항하는 분들에 대해 악한 마음을 품거나 복수하려는 마음을 가지고 있기도 합니다. 그가 저를 대적하고 비난한다고 생각하기 때문입니다. 이러한 마음을 버리고 포용하며 용서하는 마음을 가지도록 노력해야 하겠습니다. 그런데 시편 기자는 자신에게 대항하는 자들에 대한 유사한 어려움도 있겠으나 그 어려운 마음을 주도록 하는 자들이 자신에게 대항하는 것보다는 하나님을 대적하는 자들과의 어려움을 하나님께 토로하고 도움을 구하였습니다.

 

 

이 얼마나 아름다운 마음인지요? 주여, 저 자신을 비난하고 어렵게 하는 자들도 어려운 마음이 있겠으나 하나님을 대적하고 비난하는 자들에게 어려운 마음이 있고, 이에 대해 하나님께 도움을 청하는 시편기자의 마음과 삶이 도전되었습니다. 저도 저 자신에게 피해를 끼치고 깎아내리며 비난하는 자들과의 어려움 속에서 살아가지만, 그와 같이 저 자신만을 위한 삶으로부터 벗어나 주님을 대항하는 자들로부터 맞서 싸우며 주님과 동행하며 살아가는 인생이 되길 기도합니다.

 

 

주여, 부족하지만 주님을 향한 순수한 마음을 발전시키며, 저 자신만을 위한 삶이 아니라 주님께 마음을 두고 주님과 동행하며 주님의 마음을 헤아려서 주님을 대적하는 자들로 인해 힘겨워하고 그들을 주님의 말씀으로 변화시키며 살아가는 인생이 되길 기도합니다.

Supplicatory Prayer → May You deal with those who are against You, not me

 

 

The Psalmist asked the Lord to defend him, but against what? He asked the Lord to protect and defend him against those who were against him, against those who did not follow him but rather opposed him, against those who lied and did evil.

 

 

I, too, have a tendency to have an evil or revengeful heart toward those who speak against me, because I think they are against me and condemning me, and I need to work on letting go of that and having a heart of acceptance and forgiveness. But the psalmist has a similar difficulty with those who speak against him, and yet, rather than letting those who give him that difficulty speak against him, he confides in God and asks for help with his difficulty with those who speak against God.

 

 

The psalmist's heart and life were challenged when he said, "Lord, those who accuse and make things difficult for me also have difficult hearts, but those who oppose and accuse God have difficult hearts, and I ask God for help. I, too, live in the midst of difficulties with those who harm, undermine, and accuse me, but I pray that my life will be a life of walking with You, moving away from living for myself and standing up to those who oppose You.

 

 

Lord, I pray that I may develop a pure heart for You, even though it is lacking, and that it may be a life lived not for myself, but with my heart set on You, walking with You, searching Your heart, struggling with those who oppose You, and transforming them by Your Word.
