고난이 오는 일상에서 주님의 사랑을 보며 찬양할 것

 

 

 

시편 42:7-8 말씀을 읽고 도전이 된 내용과 묵상하고 적용할 사항을 정리해 보았습니다.

 

Psalm 42:7-8 Troubles have come again and again, sounding like waterfalls. Your waves are crashing all around me. The LORD shows his true love every day. At night I have a song, and I pray to my living God.

 

고난이 올 때 → 주님의 사랑을 보며 주께 찬양할 것

 

문제나 어려움은 연속적으로 계속하여 제 앞에 직면하게 합니다. 마치 폭포소리와 같이 끊임없이 오며 나로 하여금 직면하게 됩니다(7절). 하나님의 파동은 제 주변을 둘러싸여 울리며 주님께서는 매일 진정한 사랑을 보여주십니다. 밤에는 노래를 불러셔서 저는 살아계신 하나님을 찬양합니다(8절).

 

시편 42편 기자인 고라자손은 자시의 삶 가운데 직면하고 있고 늘 자신의 곁에 있었던 고난과 어려움을 바라보았습니다. 끊임없이 자신의 삶 가운데 나타나는 어려움에 대해 그것이 폭포수 소리와 같다고 표현했습니다. 폭포수는 끊임없는 소리가 됩니다만, 그것이 의미하는 바는 폭포처럼 끊임없이 다가오는 고난과 역경과 어려움을 뜻한다고 생각했습니다. 그렇습니다. 삶을 살아하면 끊임없이 고난과 역경과 어려움에 직면하게 됩니다. 제 곁에서 가까이 다가오는 고난과 어려움은 저나 상황이 이상해서가 아니라 본래 삶을 살아갈 때 직면하게 되는 어찌보면 자연스러운 것입니다. 고난과 역경에 대해 이상한 것으로 여기지 않고 당연한 삶의 모습이라고 생각하는 것이 필요한 것 같습니다.

 

오히려 그 때 시편 기자는 주님의 진실된 사랑을, 그것도 매일같이 경험하며 이를 고백했습니다. 주님의 사랑의 소리가 밤마다 울려퍼졌고, 고난과 역경에 직면하고 있는 순간에도 살아계신 하나님을 경험하며 그 하나님께 찬양과 경배를 드렸던 것을 고백하고 있습니다.

 

주여, 제 곁에서 울려퍼지는 폭포수와 같은 고난과 역경 속에서도 하나님의 진정한 사랑의 소리를 들으며 어려움 속에서 오히려 하나님을 찬양하는 삶을 살아가는 자가 되길 간절히 기도 드립니다. 제가 다가오는 고난과 부정적인 상황을 이상히 여기지 않고 오히려 하나님의 진정한 사랑을 발견하며 찬양하는 삶을 살아갈 수 있기를 간절히 기도 드리옵나이다. 아멘!

When Trouble Comes → Seeing the Lord's Love and Praising Him

 

 

Trouble or difficulty is brought before me in a continuous stream. They are like the sound of a waterfall, constantly coming and confronting me (v. 7). God's waves echo all around me, and He shows me His true love every day. At night, He sings to me, and I praise the living God (verse 8).

 

 

The writer of Psalm 42 looked at the hardships and difficulties that he was facing in his life and that were constantly by his side, and he described them as being like the sound of a waterfall. The sound of a waterfall is a constant sound, but I think what he meant by that was the hardships, adversity, and difficulties that were constantly coming at him like a waterfall. Yes, as we go through life, we are constantly faced with hardships, adversity, and difficulties. The hardships and difficulties that come at me like a waterfall are not because there is something strange about me or my circumstances, but rather they are a natural part of living life. I think we need to stop thinking of hardships and adversity as something strange and start thinking of them as a natural part of life.

 

 

Rather, the psalmist confesses that he experienced the true love of the Lord in those moments, even on a daily basis. The sound of the Lord's love rang out night after night, and even in the face of hardship and adversity, he experienced a living God and gave praise and worship to that God.

 

 

Lord, I earnestly pray that even in the midst of hardships and adversity, such as the sound of a waterfall echoing around me, I will be able to hear the sound of God's true love and live a life that praises God in the midst of difficulties. It is my fervent prayer that I will not look upon the coming hardships and negative situations as strange, but rather live a life of praise as I discover God's true love. Amen!.. Lord~.
