사도행전 3:19 말씀을 읽고 도전이 된 내용과 묵상하고 적용할 사항을 정리해 보았습니다.
Acts 3:19 So you must change your hearts and lives! Come back to God, and he will forgive your sins. Then the Lord will send the time of rest.
기꺼이 자신의 삶과 마음을 바꾸고 하나님께 돌아갈 것 → 죄의 용서
베드로는 설교하면서 마음(hearts)과 삶(lives)을 바꾸고 하나님께 돌아가라고 도전했습니다. 그리고 하나님께 돌아가라고 그렇게 할 때 죄를 용서함 받게 될 것이며, 주님께서는 우리를 쉬게 하신다고 말씀하셨습니다(19절).
설교나 많은 다른 방법을 통하여 우리는 수많은 도전과 긴장, 때로는 많은 소망을 품는 경우가 있습니다. 그럴 때 좋은 글이나 말이나 다른 사람의 본을 보며 아주 좋은 그림이나 영화를 감상한 것과 같이 선한 감동을 받기도 합니다. 그러나 자신의 마음이 변화하여 삶이 변화되는, 삶으로의 적용이 이뤄지지 않는다면 자신이 보았고 느꼈던 많은 감동들이 그대로 사라지는 것 같습니다. 반드시 자신의 삶 가운데에서 변화가 있어야 하는 것 같습니다. 그렇게 할 때 하나님께서는 우리의 죄를 사하시고 구원에 이르게 하신다고 약속하십니다.
저도 말씀을 통하여, 주변에 훌륭한 분들을 통하여 마음에 자극을 받고 삶에 변화를 가져오기 위해 노력하기도 합니다만, 결과적으로 제 마음이 변화되고 삶이 변화되지 않는다면 모든 것들이 소용없게 되고 아무것도 남지 않는 것 같습니다. 따라서, 저도 삶 가운데 제가 적용할 바를 잘 찾아서 삶이 변화될 수 있도록 힘써야 하겠습니다. 그리하여 제가 죄를 사함 받는 역사가 일어나길 간절히 기도드립니다. 주여, 제가 오늘도 제 삶에서 변화할 것을 찾고 주님을 의지함으로 적극적으로 변화하는 삶을 살아가길 기도드립니다.윗사람이나 아랫사람을 만날 때 그들을 주님 안에서 대하고 친절히 대하며 무엇보다 진정한 필요를 발견하고 채우려는 시도를 할 수 있기를 기도드립니다. 아멘!

Willingness to change one's life and heart and return to God → Forgiveness of sins
In his sermon, Peter challenged them to change their hearts and lives and return to God, and he said that when we do, we will be forgiven of our sins, and the Lord will give us rest (v. 19).
Through sermons and in many other ways, we are challenged, tensioned, and sometimes even encouraged. Sometimes we are touched for good, as when we read a good book, or hear a good word, or see the example of someone else, or see a very good picture or movie. But unless there is a change in our own hearts, a life-changing application to our lives, much of what we have seen and felt seems to fade away. It seems that there must be a change in our own lives, and when we do, God promises to forgive our sins and bring us to salvation.
I also try to stimulate my heart through the Word and through the wonderful people around me and make changes in my life, but as a result, if my heart is not changed and my life is not changed, everything seems to be useless and nothing remains. Therefore, I should try to find out what I can apply in my life so that my life can be changed, and I earnestly pray that the work of forgiveness of sins will take place. Lord, I pray that I will continue to look for things to change in my life today and actively live a life of change by relying on You. My prayer is that when we encounter people above or below us, we will treat them in the Lord, be kind to them, and most of all attempt to discover and meet their true needs. Amen!
