사도행전 4:29 말씀을 읽고 도전이 된 내용과 묵상하고 적용할 사항을 정리해 보았습니다.
Acts 4:29 And now, Lord, listen to their threats. Lord, help us, your servants, to speak your word without fear.
위협받는 상황에서도 두려움 없이 말하는 것 → 주님께 도움 청함
제자들은 영적인 리더들이나 사람들로부터 위협을 받는 상황이었으나 주님께 간구했습니다. 자신들을 도와주셔서 두려움 없이 그들에게 말할 수 있게 해 달라고 주님께 간구했습니다. 위협받는 상황에서는 위축되어 그 상황을 모면하려 하거나 피하려 하는 경우가 많은 것 같습니다. 그러나 예수님의 제자들이 택한 반응은 주님께 더욱 간구하는 것이었습니다. 위협받지만 그 속에서 두려움 속에 쌓여있지 아니하고 오히려 담대하게 말할 수 있게 해 달라고, 오히려 그 위협 속으로 더 다가갈 수 있게 해 달라고 기도까지 하는 것입니다. 세상에서 오는 방식과는 반대의 방향으로 향하고 걸어가고 맡서는 모습니다. 그러나 그들이 아무런 대비책이나 가치 없이 허비하는 것이 아니라 천지를 주관하시는 주님께 간구하며 나아가는 불굴의 모습을 보여주고 있는 것 같습니다.
세상에서는 위협적이거나 내가 손해 보거나 부정적인 상황이 예상될 경우 이것에서 피하거나 다른 대안을 마련하는 것이 지혜로운 것이며, 그것에 맞서 싸우거나 지속하는 것은 어리석은 것으로 생각됩니다. 사안에 따라 자신을 버리는 시도를 하는 것을 더욱 높은 가치로 여기는 경우가 많은 것 같습니다. 그러나 주님의 복음을 전하고 말씀을 전하며, 그 당시에 불문율로 여겨졌던 예수님에 대해 말하는 것을 목숨이라도 내어놓는다는 심정으로 이와 같이 대응한다는 것이 큰 도전이 되었습니다. 저도 두려운 상황 속에서 주님께 도움음 청하며 주님을 증거하고 말씀을 증거 하며 주님을 인정하려는 삶을 살아갈 수 있게 되길 간절히 기도드립니다. 오늘도 다양한 상황 속에서 사람들와 접촉하는 가운데 예수님이나 말씀을 전하라는 주님의 음성 앞에서 그 상황을 무마하여 떠나거나 불순조하지 말고, 오히려 기도하며 말씀과 성경과 예수님을 전하는 시도를 할 수 있게 되길 기도 드립니다. 아멘!

Speaking Fearlessly Under Threat → Asking the Lord for Help
The disciples were in a situation where they were being threatened by spiritual leaders and people, but they cried out to the Lord, asking Him to help them and enable them to speak to them without fear. It seems that when we are threatened, we often shrink back and try to avoid the situation, but the response of Jesus' disciples was to ask the Lord for more. Even though they are threatened, they don't wallow in fear, but rather pray that they will be able to speak boldly, and that they will be able to move closer to the threat. They head, walk, and smell in the opposite direction from the world's way of doing things, but it seems that they are showing an indomitable spirit, not wasting away without any preparation or value, but moving forward in prayer to the Lord who is in control of heaven and earth.
In the world, if a situation is threatening, if it is to my detriment, or if I anticipate a negative outcome, it is thought to be wise to flee from it or make other arrangements, and foolish to fight against it or persist in it. Depending on the situation, I think we often place a higher value on attempting to abandon ourselves, but it has been a great challenge for me to respond in this way with a sense of risking my life for the sake of the Lord's gospel, spreading the word, and speaking about Jesus, which was considered unspeakable at the time. I fervently pray that I too will be able to cry out to the Lord for help in the midst of fearful situations and live a life of witnessing to the Lord, bearing witness to His Word, and seeking to acknowledge Him. I pray that as we come into contact with people in various situations today, when we hear the voice of the Lord asking us to share Jesus or the Word, we will not dismiss the situation and walk away, but rather pray and attempt to share the Word, the Bible, and Jesus.
